Swinging with a beat

"I found this to be an immensely appealing album that at times seemed to be in the smooth jazz genre, but at other times swung out a lot more. The interplay and quality of horn playing was excellent, the melodies great and the beat foot tappin' good. Not complicated; just a lot of fun."

"This CD is a wonderful example, of "balls to the walls" sax playin! The compositions are hooky and memorable. The music takes you somewhere, each track has something to say, unlike other "laa-dee-daa" instrumental CD's. Toms melodies get under your skin, and his solos flow with soulful/rockin unpredictability. I LOVE this CD, and highly recommend it! ***** FIVE STARS!"

"I picked this one up because I'm a fan of Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and Timko has been a part of the BS&T horn section for some time. The performances and the tunes are all top-notch, and totally recommended for BS&T fans or fans of jazz-rock in general. The current 2000 tour of BS&T also opens up with Timko's "The Plunge" which is the 1st track on his album."
