Synopsis

Album Description
This is the 1st ever North American compilation for the man who, though his own recordings and his Hillbilly Central recording studio in Nashville, had more to do with starting the outlaw country movement than anybody else (that includes Waylon 'n' Willie)! We've put together a 24-track compilation that covers three labels and 15 years of recordings, from the early, close-harmony hits of the Glaser Brothers to Tompall's seminal, mid-'70s solo work and beyond. Grammy-winner Colin Escott contributes notes to a CD that belongs in every self-respecting country music library. A Collectors' Choice Music release!

CD Reviews

Wondeful, Wonderful.

"Here in the UK, for the past 20 years I`ve been looking for Tompall & The Glaser Brothers version of "Loving Her Was Easier" without success. First heard it over 20 years ago on a visit to Tennessee, it was magic then it`s even better now. The CD arrived today, been listening ever since, "Rings" what a timeless song, but all the other tracks are jems, I can`t get enough. The harmony is just sublime and so emotional, whoever it was who decided to release this CD, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You"

"I remember seeing Tompall, Chuck, and Jim on the Johnny Cash television show years ago. It was not until their music was used as a soundtrack on the movie, Tick...Tick...Tick..., that I became a real fan. The music and harmony all come together and touch you in a special way if you let it. In my opinion, the song that stands out above the rest is, "All That Keeps You Goin." I too wish some of Jim Glasers' solos could have been included. But still a great album. Hope that there will be more like it in the future."
I missed them the first time around

"A few years ago I found a cassette with a familiar song title but unfamiliar group at a local thrift shop and took a chance and bought it. That was my introduction to Tompall Glaser and the Glaser Brothers. I absolutely loved it and have been looking for others since. I was thrilled to find this CD a couple of years ago and have enjoyed it immensely ever since. I don't know where I was when they were active in the 70's and 80's, but I am sure enjoying them now. Their distinctive voices and wonderful harmonies are a delight to the ear."
