CD Reviews

Heart Coming Home by Tomas Michaud

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I enjoy this album most to unwind just before bed, or quiet visits with friends, perhaps at mealtime. A little too mellow (but happy I have it) for other activities. Then prefer Passion Dance. Don't think I would compare to Gipsy Kings - I have the "Best of" album - it's much livelier than this. Hubby calls this more 'Waiting room / Elevator' music. He doesn't ask me to shut if off when we are reading or visiting - that's a big plus! I would compare it more to Yanni's "Devotion"."
Far more than a great gift to Ottmar's and Gipsy's fans!

"This album actually brings up some similarities with Ottmar Liebert's and Gipsy Kings' themes, but it's far much more than this, and you'll have no risk to think you're listening to one of those two artists! A strong "latino" accent, a pure guitar, soft themes, are some of the elements that make this CD an album to be tasted as if it was a good wine: slowly, in good company, in front of the fire, at special hours!"
