Synopsis

Product Description
The original vinyl LP Red Letter Day contained 9 songs and was limited to 500 copies. This new 10 song CD is truly a 1st edition by the only company Tom has authorized to produce and market his works. It includes for the 1st time "Stars in the Night", a centerpiece track (not on the vinyl) from the original Red Letter Day recording session! Lyric sheets for all songs included. Do not confuse this CD with the pirated CD of inferior quality containing 9 of these songs, lacking a lyric insert, and released in 2004 by Radioactive Records (UK) without the composer's knowledge and in blatent infringement of his ownership rights and the rights of the art designer.

CD Reviews

At Last! The only complete 10 song Red Letter Day !

"After hearing the 'black stamped' pirate copy of 9 Red Letter Day songs that turned out to be an unauthorized pirate CD, without lyrics, and sloppily made from a 'needledrop' master, it is a JOY to HEAR a dream come true - for a hard-working singer/songwriter who was just a little too independent and political to accept the big label overtures that sought to retool him by ridding Tom of his "Collaborators" in favor of a dinosaur label's "vision" of pop-stardom - which Lucas offended by rejecting their 'music for munchkins'to continue doing it his and his "Collaborators" way. What a way! Finally a new global fan base has found out what a few thousand knew for years - this singer/songwriter, composer, unique and without peer PURE ROCK pianist; this arranger, guitarist, etc. takes a back seat to nobody. He respects his heroes, but he sounds like only himself. The range of his poetic, yet often political, lyrics is accompanied by an astonishing range of musicianship full of hard driving rock and then the most delicate instrospective ballad. And it took the new global internet generation to find him and put him squarely in the range of an aging generation of music power brokers who tried to silence him by ignoring him. Our day has come ! DC"
Wait for the real thing.

"Excellent record but it will be even better when Lucas re-releases it himself, according to his own artistic principles and standards. And with an extra track that never made it onto the original recording! It will be re-released legally very soon. This Radioactive edition is nothing but slick piracy and should be avoided at any cost."
