Excellent album from leader of southern pop movement

"Tim Lee (along with the talented Bobby Sutliff, who has a new album out on the Not Lame label) was a former member of the great southern pop duo The Windbreakers, as well as a touring guitarist for artists such as Marti Jones (RCA) and Let's Active (IRS Records). During the 80's and 90's, he released a slew of albums both with the Windbreakers and on his own. Crawdad is his third solo outing, and his strongest, in my opinion. More countrified that some of his earlier works, he is still more Leonard Cohen than Lynyrd Skynrd (sp?), although he can rock with the best of them. His songwriting should appeal to those who enjoyed some of Dylan's electric works. In fact, "Crawdad" might be Lee's "Highway 61 Revisited" if it took a detour down to Mississippi. The third song, "King & Queen of Uptown" stands among some of my favorites."
