A Strong Debut

"Caught the band in a live show in New York (that's where I first heard about the disc) and was instantly hooked. Definitely worth checking out. The style is kind of a cross between a less-poppy John Mayer and a slightly heavier version of Crowded House or Counting Crows. Lyrically very strong, especially on songs like "Wish I Could" and "That Sacred Place." As a guitar player, Tim reminds me of a modern-day cross between Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. The rhythm section is incredible. Check out the bass freak out on "Somebody Just Like Me" and the bass/ guitar/drum parts in "A Different Version of My Life.""
