Britain's answer to Poison and glam era Crue
Buck Dingo | Jacksonville, FL | 09/11/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Back in high school at the age of 15, my girlfriend picked this album up and shared it with me, and I was blown away. I was into sleazy rock like Crue/LA Guns/Faster Pussycat/Cats N Boots. This album fits right into my choice picks from that era. Their cover was obviously playing off Poison's Look What The Cat Dragged In. Their name is also a bit cheesy. But I'm recommending that you take a second look at this album in particular. Steevi Jaimz was singing for the band at the time and it was his voice that really helped them stand out. He has a Michael Monroe sound that is timeless. Every song could have been a hair metal hit. They are all catchy, fun, sleazy, and of course there is a solid ballad on there too. The band re-recorded Livin' Without You with their new vocalist shortly after Steevi left. In my opinion, the band lost the one element that really made them shine when they fell out with Steevi. Young and Crazy is one of the best hair metal albums of the 80's and should not be overlooked. Check out: Livin' Without You, Shameless, and Young and Crazy."
