"Good God!!! Great true, down and dirty black metal, and from the US none the less!!!! Each track is full of hate, and hatred is the main ingredient for great black metal! The drummer is also the vocalist, but you couldn't tell because the drumming is very hard and very tight, a rarity for someone that pulls double shift. An idea of how they sound is imagine old Mayhem with clearer production and much more louder!!!! A must for any black metal fan!!!"

"Simply put one of the most violent albums ever. The riffs, drumming and vocals all shred. Even the production is raw, something I thought would be no more with the shift to the jewcropolis label. Here is a black metal band that knows how to play their instruments and knows how black metal should sound unlike some humanitarian bands like dimmu borgir. This band and many others are proof that the US has the best black metal scene anywhere. It's about violence, hatred, anti morality and anti religion. HAIL THORNSPAWN HAIL THE US LEGIONS!"

"This album is the best in the genre from an American band. I rate it in the top five all black metal albums ever released. The guitars, drumming, and vocals are brutal and raw. No black metal collection would be complete without this CD. You are really missing out if you dont buy this CD. IF YOU DONT LIKE THORNSPAWN...THEN YOU DONT LIKE BLACK METAL!"
