"They're never a real Staind's clone in fact, they hardly clone anyone at all. They've got a feeling in their music that's rather close to something you can hear in Staind's songs, or anything else in the american nu-metal.The music is heavy enough, and at times much more metal-like than hardcore; the guitars work perfectly in every single song.
All the songs are, though being heavy, very melodic; tunes impress with a catchiness and a perfect rhythm. Vocals ideally fit in the songs structures, support the whole spirit of the album, and sound really unforgettable.Lyrics are not bad, not that overloaded with a deep meaning, as well, and mostly are all about the unhappy love affairs. The good news are: unlike Rammstein, these guys sing in good English, which make things easier.The stand-outs of the album are Sick (a perfect album starter), Fine Alone (one of the most memorable song off the cd), Permanent State of Mind (the catchiest chorus), Negative Karma (Therapy? meets nu-metal), Come Creeping (mid-tempo rocker), Simple Things (a radio friendly tune), Sway (just a good song), and Two (may be the closest to the Staind's style song).In short, the lesson is: never think the German rock is only Scorpions and Rammstein, try to learn more about them, and to start that, buy the THORN.ELEVEN cd, especially if you like... Finger Eleven."
