CD Reviews

A classic
Maxtone Witherball | 04/17/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Bob Petric was a great guitarist and Ron House was a great lyricist. This record is only one rung below the best albums ever made (i.e., End on End, Lonesome Crowded West, Appetite for Destruction). On par with Velvet Underground and Nico, any Stones, any Zeppelin, any Stooges, any Metallica, any Mastodon. Better than pretty much everything else but Unwound and Fugazi."
Greatest album ever made - hands down
Jonathan Davis | Columbus, OH | 02/21/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments are sadly no longer together, but frontman Ron House is still playing. He is opening up for Guided by Voices in Columbus, Ohio on 02-21-03. This record is truly a wonderful complex and intelligent masterpiece with a raw punk sound backed by an almost dance beat like bass track. It rocks. House has been interviewed by Spin Magazine as well as National Public Radio. If you are a fan of true punk music and don't own this album, you are not a true rocker. Check out Cheater's Heaven--the best single ever recorded. Buy this record if you can find it..."
