CD ReviewsWinwood's "Band On The Run" 09/22/1999 (3 out of 5 stars) "Recorded on hiatus with Remi Kabaka and Abdul Lasisi Amao between Traffic's "Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory," and "When The Eagle Flies," "Aiye-Keta" is a vital component for any Traffic or Steve Winwood CD collection. It's loose, chiefly instrumental, and a refreshing break from the confines of stardom." A near miss. 04/17/2000 (3 out of 5 stars) "Recorded while Traffic was still at the top of it's game, hooking up Steve Winwood with some solid African musicians was an intriguing idea. Unfortunately, with the exception of Happy Vibes, the songs are nothing more than groove-jams that fail to really take off. A pity more attention wasn't paid to composing. Winwood does not sing on this one, instead he mans the organ, bass and guitar ably. Not essential, but an interesting listen...Simon"
