CD Reviews

Great album, extra tracks unncessary...

"One of the better compilation albums I've ever heard... this album features a great Ana Ng, and the best opening for Istanbul on this or any planet. Other songs that make the album worth buying: Dr Worm, Birdhouse in Your Soul, She's Actual Size... that's 5 REALLY REALLY good songs, with a lot of only REALLY good songs (Why does the sun shine, They got lost, Particle Man, more) thrown in. The only issue is the last section, with all of the Planet of the Apes stuff, which just isn't as good as the rest of the album. Buy the album, and listen to the planet of the apes series if you want to."
They didn't get lost, they got a hit!

"They Might Be Giants has done it again! Live versions of their most popular songs, two of them not available on any other official TMBG recording (except for They Got Lost, which can be heard on Long Tall Weekend). And 3 studio tracks (namely Doctor Worm, Severe Tire Damage Theme, and About Me). TMBG still has yet to release a "Best Of" album. I realize that they have "The Best Of The Early Years", but I mean overall, one that would feature songs from all of their albums, and maybe some of their unreleased songs, such as "Welcome to the Jungle". So, they haven't made a "Best Of They Might Be Giants" album, but "Severe Tire Damage" is the next best thing. I can't hear any of these songs and not feel like singing along. This is a great album for even the mild TMBG fan."
