"This is a truly great band in top form. Too bad they rarely leave Oregon, or they'd be Garrison Keilor material for sure. You haven't lived until you've heard what they can do with hammer dulcimer and tuba duet--and their other instrumentation is just as inovative, played in folk style by some of the Northwest's finest rock, jazz, folk, country, and Rennaisance musicians.But this group's real strength is its vocals. Blessed with a plethora of great lead singers (one of which is Rindy Ross, formerly of acclaimed rock band Quarterflash) they've produced an extremely memorable Christmas album. Their Portland Christmas concerts are always sell-outs, even though they're now up to something like five shows per weekend. If you're not from Portland, take a gamble and find out why we love them so dearly."
