Simply put, great album. cre8orjvs | 04/15/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "i stumbled onto this band because of thier label (some odd pilot) who has released other stuff i dug. this is a great album, soaring, and anthemic. the reason i shorted it one star was because i kept wanting the songs to keep going, keep building. but they max out just shy of where i want them to. its like wanting to visit europe and only making it to montreal. close, but not quite ;) it might be a limitation of the synths, and the loss of dynamic that can come from instruments of that nature. either way a fine release, that im happy to own. the comparisons to sigur ros and godspeed are acceptable, but id liken them more to TNT era tortoise. simply because they have a more clinical sound, very clean and precise and not quite as emotive as sigur ros. i recommend it, and look forward to future endeavors of thiers."
