"This is a gift for people who love good music. Well imagine Pearl Jam if they spent their summers in Ireland and their winters in California. From the opening roar of All Right to the disturbing final song "Fall Apart" it's pure rock genius. "Disease" and "Lay Down" are the best examples of the light and shade approach that dominates their songwriting. Songwriting is not a lost art, just buy this CD and hear for yourself. Most CD's have maybe one great single, this one has 11, just listen to "Sometime" ,"Give In" or "Blur" and you'll be ready for a days work. And by the way "Blur" is just about the best song of the year. Thundering Vocals with lucid emotive lyrics, intelligent storming kick a--guitar, melodic rumbling bass, and a colossal riff oriented drummer (good harmonies by the way too). Sounds like the ingredients for a great rock band. Well they are and it is so do yourself a favor and don't give up on Rock music just yet. The Picture Show are about to save it with "Shatters Into Discontent""
Easily one of the best releases of the year

""Shatters Into Discontent" is easily one of the best new albums of the year. It is easily one of those albums you can pop into your CD player and listen to front to back without skipping any tracks. "Give In" has a great blend of acoustic guitar with some striking electric guitar work. If you are looking for some good drumming, just put on "Sometime," you'll get what you are looking for!
This band is one of the few out there who produces their own material without having to sample from others.
