"As a longtime fan of John Abercrombie in all of his incarnations, I was excited to see a new album, especially one featuring Gary Versace on organ. Simply put, their interplay is totally happening. Quirky, subtle, swinging, deep, funky and rhythmic... what else is there to say? Not to slight Nussbaum and Bergonzi either, who both kill on this record-- and indeed, the four of them together make incredible music. Not surprising, since they've all played together in different groups but never as a quartet.



"Come Sunday" and "Footprints" are both especially happening, but really there is no dull moment on the record. Though Abercrombie never hits the firebreathing of records like Gateway or Timeless, his playing is top notch and any lover of jazz guitar will find a lot to enjoy in this disc."
