"I would not recommend this for your first Nields album, as it's quite existential, but it's actually one of my favorites. It has a lot of their "early" sound and less of their full-band sound, which might be a turn-off if you prefer "If You Lived Here You'd Be Home Now" to "Play or Greta, but the songs are fantastic. Highlights for me are "Be Nice to Me," "James," "Ash Wednesday," and "Just Like Christopher Columbus."

This album is full of angst and bitterness, and a weird quirky Nerissa-Nields-brand of hope.
