An hour of narcotic psych-rock, with fuzzed guitar, swirled organ, and primal drums. The sound is reverberating, trippy, and pop-driven. Songs range from fuzzed psych-rock to spaced out and darkly dreamy. "The Misteriosos" was recorded analog style, just like The White Stripes like to do it. The Misteriosos have carefully cultivated a lo-fi sound of their own, using a combination of vintage and newer equipment at the amazing Plan B Studios in Philadelphia. Songs from this album have been compared to The Raveonettes, Mazzy Star, The Velvet Underground, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Stooges...all in the same sentence.
