"Wreckless Abandon", the explosive 4th album from The Michael E. Thomas Band. Huge guitar sounds on the opening rocker "Whatever" followed by a Stonesy "Serves You Right". "Loving You Is Easy" is a heavy baritone guitar stadium number. Bonham-like drumming drives "Star" to "Just One Kiss" with an r&b/funky groove. The mighty title track rocks into the powerful "The Grind" with it's climaxing swirling cascade of sound. "Galaxy 500" has a punky Buzzcocks feel of delivery. Michael's lap steel playing on "Take Me Home" bring to mind "Layla" with bit of Page for good measure. "Your Song" by Elton John/Bernie Taupin is a fitting closer for the album.
