The Megaphonic Thrift was formed in Bergan, Norway in the fall of 2007. The band makes a virtue of the kind of experimentation within conventional song structures beloved of New York's No Wave scene and the likes of Dinosaur Junior, My Bloody Valentine, and all who followed in its wake.
