CD Reviews
Great CD for true music lovers!!!

"If you are a fan of really good music with meaningful lyrics laid over tight rhythms then this CD is perfect for you. The vocals are smooth with a quality not often found in todays music. My personal favorites tracks are "Make My Days Go By" and "Brazilian Love Affair". Even though this is their neophyte offering, the production team of David Burns and Stewart McKenzie have hit a home run. They picked the right artists to sing for the team. I just can't say enough about the quality of the music backing each track. The guitar riffs and bass compliment each other nicely in many of the tracks. The songs have none of that cookie-cutter, created in ten minutes feel that is prevalent in much of the music that is played on the radio today.Check it out."
This IS the One!!

"ARE YOU GONNA is a song about which every single can relate. This CD is an inspiration for those on the single scene; for the first time or yet again. The Lyrics are deep and thought provoking: from a sisters perspective as well as from the men. I especially loved the strength and personality that Zyanya's voice brought. Unlike "I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE," this CD is the one to buy!!"
A Breath Of Fresh Air

"In a time of cookie cutter formula music, that dominates the airwaves, The McKenzie Burns Project is a much needed breath of fresh air! You can put this CD on and just let it roll from the first track too the last. It's got it all, smoothed out R&B mixed with some latin flavor and even some cool jazz touches. It's refreshing to hear four new artists who can really sing teaming up with real musicians. Yo fellas, look out for the track "Make My Days Go By" by Derrick Holland, it's a guranteed mood setter for the ladies. In a word, The McKenzie Burns Project, ROCKS!"
What can I say....I Love It!

"This CD covers sooo much territory I don't know where to start, it has a flavor for everyone's taste, it ranges from smooth R&B to latin and hits everything in between. This CD has earned a permanent slot in my car CD changer, my lengthy commute is much more enjoyable. I truly appreciate music that is well thought out and lyrics that have meaning to them, this one is packed from start to finish. It is refreshing to listen to music that isn't sampled and considered new or a remix re-released. Every song on this is original and shows what music is actually all about, talent and expression. This one will have you singing the the songs in no time. I don't know how they intend to top this one, it is a fantastic first release!"

"In a time when most pop music is non-melodious and angry, "The McKenzie Burns Project" comes along to say that smooth jazz with thoughtful lyrics is still alive and well. This is far from a "retro" album, though - it is contemporary, mixing various types of rhythms and styles. The common element is its listenability. I give this CD my very highest recommendation."
