With yet another phenomenally talented band emerging out of Arizona, it makes one wonder what they're putting in the water over there...

The new CD from THE IRISH FRONT entitled, Universe, includes tons of things you would never expect from a metal album such as comedic sketches, swing guitar, female jazz and folk singers, pop-punk, one super gangster rapper, calm ambient songs with climactic endings, and progressive indie rock. But of course there is plenty of just flat out ridiculous grind. The guys took bits of every style of music that they love and created a massive mixture of un-repetitive chaos.

The band released their first EP called 'Eating Stuff' in July 2006 where their unique style turned heads. The hype built and a year later the band started touring and playing shows they never thought they would play such as Fire Fest (Featuring: Necrophagist, Suicide Silence, Cattle Decapitation). In August 2007 the guys hit the road with Carnifex and in 2008 finished a full US tour with Burning The Masses as well as headlining to crowds of 300 people a night.

Those live performance shifted from the ever so common heavy, loud, and brutal to consist of ugly faces, loogies, punching and running into each other on stage, dressing in gorilla suits, spazzing out, and just about every fluid that comes out of the human body. It isn't uncommon at all for blood to be drawn during the shows from hitting each other with their instruments. Also they have the occasional passing out on stage, which always gives people a big smile!

With the making of Universe, the band has put every ounce of blood, sweat, tears, and lots of vomit into getting where they are now and they couldn't be happier. Expect concrete heavy slabs of grind and technical wizardry that will have you frothing at the mouth. Fans of See You Next Tuesday, Dillinger Escape Plan, Kill Whitney Dead, Job For A Cowboy take note...The Irish Front have arrived!
