This is the debut CD from the two-time winner of the Traditional Band contest at the Appalachian String Band Music Festival. The material comes from all over the south and the midwest, and is presented in a variety of configurations from the full 5-piece band to duets. The Hoover Uprights have been playing together for 15 years, and consist of Bill Schmidt, fiddle, banjo and vocal; Dave Rice, harmonica; John Schwab, guitar; Kate Brett, banjo; and Kevin Enoch, banjo uke, banjo, uke, guitar and bass.
