Harris | 06/09/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "If you're familiar with the studio version of any of the songs on A Noise Severe, you will notice that The Gathering inject each one with a new and brilliant energy in these performances. The only negative is that singer Anneke van Giersbergen's amazing voice is not front and center in the mixing (However, the companion DVD to A Noise Severe features much better sound engineering). Nevertheless, listening to this record will make you hope The Gathering makes it to your hometown when they go on tour this year."
