CD Reviews

Just like High Street Agora back in 77.

"Having seen the Godz back in their heyday in Columbus I can say this disc captures the Godz live riots pretty well. Yeah, they're basically a biker band but they have a nice two guitar sound that is definitely distinct.
Excellent production makes this disc sound very up to date. Mark Chatfield is a very good guitarist and knows how to make a live recording sound even better. He adds lots of nice intro riffing and interesting leads that aren't repeated over and over. The gritty vocals are decent as they switch back and forth from Glen Cataline (drummer), Eric Moore (bassist) and Mark (guitar). This is a two guitar attack as they've asked Eric Mauk to fill in on rhythm guitar and he does exactly what he's supposed to. Overall definitely worth your $$ if you ever saw 'em and wonder if Eric's rant during "Gotta Keep A Runnin'" can still pump the crowd's adrenaline up.Remember.... THE GODZ ARE ROCK AND ROLL MACHINES!"

"This Rocks! But there's nothing better than the real thing! I saw the Godz in Columbus, Ohio, up close and personal, they were truly the best band of their era. I would highly recommend this album for hard rock fans."
