The summer of 2007 saw the welcomed return of rock/soul fusion cult phenomena The Family Stand! The three original members, V. Jeffrey Smith, Peter Lord and Sandra St. Victor have re-united and recorded this new CD. Super Sol Nova is The Family Stand at their 'in your face' best. Tackling subjects such as Katrina, terrorism, Enron, and self-reflection, as well as wallowing in the mire of temporary self-deprecation, inevitably rising triumphant to spit fire again. Following three albums which became landmark templates for Soul/Rock fusion, the members spent time writing and producing for the likes of Daryl Hall, Paula Abdul and Curtis Mayfield.
