CD Reviews

The Emergency! At last decent british twinged rock and roll
Mark E. HYKEN | Mayberry, SC. | 11/18/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After hearing the Emergency debut CD I was blown away! Finally an original band not marketed by out of touch New Jersey consultants(Justin Timberlake etc). They have their own unique british influenced pop songs that make for extreme listening pleasure. The CD is mixed quite well and the band comes out of a small college town called Morgantown WV. The CD has no filler material, it's all great. Tons of hip songs with superb hooks. Although they clearly are not a copy band I can tell that guitarist/mastermind Rob Wherle enjoys the Beatles, Rem, Kinks, Love. It's almost timeless in that both I enjoy it and my 46 year old dad loves it too. Buy this CD, you will be pleased. Turn it up, kick back and enjoy some new fresh music. No doubt a major label will be picking these guys up and this debut will become hard to find. I live in St. Louis and am hoping to catch them in the next few months, even if it means a road trip."
This CD has everybody shaking their butts.

"Oh my godness folks. This is some of the finest rock music I've heard in a long time. You should buy this disc now before they get huge. Come on, you know you want to be that kid who's all "Yeah, I have their first record, before they got signed to 'insert hip indie record label here'" If you get a chance to see them live, you will be singing along, and you will be shaking your bottom. Trust me."
