Synopsis

Product Description
The Coats are an energetic, polished a cappella pop group from the Pacific Northwest. They have cultivated a following for over a decade, recording 8 CDs and winning the Harmony Sweepstakes in 1994. A popular live attraction, the group has challenged themselves with this CD to produce a recording that trumps anything they've released before. The cover songs Blinded Me With Science, Down on the Corner, Stand By Me, and Thin Lizzy's Boys are Back in Town, are creative and witty. The Coats change up the rhythms, drop in unanticipated accents and countermelodies while delivering a rock-solid groove. The original tunes, She's Got That Thing, Walk Away and Together Through It All, convey a buoyant optimism that is contagious.

CD Reviews

Back again!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've been a fan of The Coats for a long time now and have quite a few autographed albums. I was at the concert when this CD first became available. It was a hot summer day in Puyallup Washington.

Every album gets better and better. There is no stopping these boys! If you want an album that shows what you can really do with four guys and a melody then this is for you.

For even more fun go to their website thecoats .net and get their other albums. You can actually hear the transition from when they first started to the refinement they have now.

Highly recommended for acapella enthusiasts and music lovers alike."

"I'm an old Rockapella fan and I've always been looking for that sound from the days of Sean Altman and Barry Carl. This Coats CD put a smile on my face and made me snap my fingers. Great grooves on Shake Your Body and She Blinded Me With Science."
