From start to finish, this album takes you on quite a ride, one that I haven't been on since first hearing Herbie Hancock's Thrust in 1988. It's that good. This guy has got major talent. You owe it to your funky self to pick this up." Some of the tracks are fairly short (less than 3 mins) but this does not take away from their effectiveness. The title track Metamorphosis is extremely well produced. My favorite track is #5 Players Rendezvous. A great bouncy, funky track with enough moves and changes to keep it fresh while maintaining that almost hip-hop instrumental feel. Track #9 The Hidden Valley is a brilliant West Coast Jazz number with flowing horns and keyboard. The entire release is a wonderful blend of hip-hop feel, 70's funk instrumental, and porno soundtrack without becoming boring. Cheeba has created an excellent release and I enjoy having it in my rotation."
