CD Reviews

Chad Mitchell Trio
Mork from Ork | USA | 06/22/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I am back in the 60's again. I can close my eye's and see them singing on stage. There aren't words enough to describe how really good they are."
Folk's Finest
Louise Shalit | US Virgin Islands (Caribbean) | 04/19/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"No one touches The Chad Mitchell Trio. Finest harmonies, musicianship, musicians, songs, content, you name it. These fellows give you the best kind of goosebumps. I can't begin to give them their due. And Chad's soaring harmonies are to die for. Just glorious ... and tasteful!"
What You Need To Know
Cary E. Mansfield | Studio City, CA USA | 05/22/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Chad Mitchell Trio was one of the top singing attractions on the campus and club folk circuit in the '60s, rivaling established competitors such as The Kingston Trio and Peter, Paul and Mary. They made a lasting contribution to the folk movement, mixing political satire with sophisticated vocal harmony while simultaneously broadening the audience for both.

* This collection features some of the best recordings ever made by the trio and includes Bob Dylan's "Blowin' In The Wind" (recorded before Peter, Paul & Mary), "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream," and "The John Birch Society," which featured Fred Hellerman of The Weavers on guitar.

* The release also features folk-rock legend Jim (Roger) McGuinn on banjo and guitar, before he started The Byrds."
