Synopsis

Product Description
Seattle's Cave Singers debut with a rural blend of homespun mystery and "folk music approached by way of punk rock, or an updated version of the 'Anthology Of American Folk Music'" - Seattle Weekly. You might hear bits of Calexico, Iron & Wine, Devendra, or Lindsey Buckingham in their dense and eerie sound. Singer Pete Quirk's appealingly nasal voice simultaneously echoes Arlo Guthrie and a mosquito's buzz.

CD Reviews

A boot-stomping good time
J. Feinberg | Los Angeles, CA | 11/06/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I absolutely love this record. This is without a doubt one of my favorite releases from 2007. It is simple in arrangement yet very deep in tone, vibe, and melody. I just saw these guys live in Austin and they do a great job of reproducing the vibe live. Highly recommended!"
Yeah, I'm diggin' this so far
Crumbly | Madison, NJ USA | 12/09/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I received this CD on a recommendation last week, and I've been listening to it in heavy rotation all week. It's slightly folksy, slightly bluesy lo-fi listening that seeps into your consciousness. Definitely not for a running tape, but rather for late night after-hours, when you can turn the lights low and sip a beverage of choice."
