The Bluerunners play original rock `n' roll that's both compelling and danceable, with strong roots in the Cajun, zydeco and R&B sounds of South Louisiana. Still, the Bluerunners are not your typical Louisiana band. With strong songwriting from Mark Meaux and Steve LeBlanc, and varied instrumental textures using traditional acoustic instruments, electric guitars, saxophones, `tit ferre and frottoir, the Bluerunners honor their South Louisiana roots while striking out for new musical territory.
