Synopsis

Product Description
The classic original Beatles studio albums have been re-mastered by a dedicated team of engineers at Abbey Road Studios in London over a four year period utilising state of the art recording technology alongside vintage studio equipment, carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings. The result of this painstaking process is the highest fidelity the Beatles catalogue has seen since its original release.

Within each CD's new packaging, booklets include detailed historical notes along with informative recording notes. For a limited period, each CD will also be embedded with a brief documentary film about the album. The newly produced mini-documentaries on the making of each album, directed by Bob Smeaton, are included as QuickTime files on each album. The documentaries contain archival footage, rare photographs and never-before-heard studio chat from The Beatles, offering a unique and very personal insight into the studio atmosphere. CD Reviews

A Masterpiece?
Fernando Gastelo | 09/01/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A 9 hour work shift, a 1 hour drive to school, a 3 hour class and as the 24 hour day reaches its end I finally get to drive home. Every single bone weights a ton and my eyes are on the verge of closing. When "Tomorrow Never Knows" starts playing. Its not simple short circuit but a complete electrocution. An electric current that goes through my whole body and wakes it up in just a few seconds.
What is this? Is not fully pop, is not rock, is definitely not folk, in what key is it? its weird, its avant-garde, its experimental, it takes me places, it caress me, its beautiful, its everything yet nothing. Its Rubber Soul."
Remastered?!?!

""Revolver" is, without doubt, my favorite Beatles album and one of my all-time favorites by any band or performer. I had the old version of this cd (the one with the plastic jewel case) and was always rather dissapointed with the rather poor sound quality. (nothing can beat the sound quality of vinyl!!) So I was so happy to see this album remastered, and sold seperately (without having to purchase the entire catalog as a box set.) I cannot begin to convey my utter dissapointment with this cd!! Were they kidding when they called it "remastered"?!?! It must be some sort of sick joke! There is ABSOLUTELY no difference in sound quality between this version and the old one!!!! If you already own the old version (the one that comes in a plastic jewel case), then that's all you need. Don't waste your money like I did, thinking that you're going to finally get a copy of "Revolver" that has superior sound quality! Aside from some fancy packaging, this re-release is nothing but a real let-down!!"
