Synopsis

Product Description
For four years Glenn Miller's civilian band had it's 'young man in the romance department', Ray Eberle. For two years Major Miller's band had its 'soldier and a song', Johnny Desmond. For eighteen short months the post war Miller band led by his tenor sax man, Tex Beneke had the vocal touch of Garry Stevens. This is a companion volume to the first Garry Stevens album issued on the Sounds Of Yesteryear label and as such carries the music on a further year to the halcyon days of 1948. Tracks include: This Is The Night, The Old Lamplighter, Anniversary Song, Somewhere In The Night, Every So Often, The Heather On The Hill.
