"Tejendra is the finest Hindustani instrumentalist of his generation. A leading disciple of the Maihar school that produced, a generation earlier, such towering figures as Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar, and Pandit Nikhil Banerjee, he is a worthy successor. His musical intelligence is deep and his technique is awesome. This exceptionally well-produced album contains a full exposition of a particularly beautiful raga. This is real Indian classical music of the utmost purity and artistry.You might also enjoy his charming jugalbandi (duet) recordings with sitarist Shujaat Khan."
