CD Reviews

Very Powerful, Full of Emotion!!!
04/20/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Just like every other CD I own by Tanya, it has so much emotion and so many wonderful songs on it I can't decide which song I like best. I think this is one of her very best. I would recommend it to any one who likes Tanya."
Classic album dominated by ballads
Peter Durward Harris | Leicester England | 02/21/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album yielded three major country hits, these being the first three tracks. The first is the up-tempo song, If it don't come easy, but thereafter everything is slow or mid-tempo. Of course, what really matters is the quality of the songs and that is high. The second track is the romantic title track, which in turn is followed by the classic song, I won't take less than your love, featuring a third each by Tanya, Paul Davis and Paul Overstreet, with Tanya singing the middle third. Those three tracks can be found on any number of compilations, but the remaining seven songs are all brilliant. You may have heard If I didn't love you - it is a song written by Deborah Allen and Rafe Van Hoy that has also been recorded by other country singers, although the title has been used for other, completely different, songs. Heartbreaker is even more frequently used as a song title. I wouldn't like to guess how many but I don't remember hearing this particular song elsewhere - however, it is a lot better than some of the songs with which it shares its title.I wonder what he's doing tonight, I'll Tennessee you in my dreams, Temporarily blue and Hope you find what you're loving for are all wonderful ballads. Alien is a great mid-tempo song. This is one of several brilliant albums from the best and most successful period of Tanya's long and distinguished career."
