CD Reviews

One of the best (comedy) albums ever!
Joshua A. Eldridge | Los Angeles, CA | 10/27/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album is Jason Ellis' masterpiece. Between the hilarious lyrics and the great musicianship of Tully and Christian, this album instantly becomes a favorite in any collection. I would suggest this to any fan of heavy music, Howard Stern or Opie & Anthony. I can't believe how good this actually came out! The DVD component is absolutely hilarious!

Saved my life....

"Before I owned this album, I was lost...a soul without a purpose. The melodic tone of Taintstick has forever changed my soul. By far the most influential band of the decade, if not century. The Beatles have nothing on Taintstick. Mark my words, this album will save lives.

From the wisdom of "Monkeys of War", I learned how to better equip myself for the challenges of the future. The patient tone of "Handjob" will allow you a learn that nothing is out of reach. And of course, I'd be mistaken not to turn your attention to "F*k Ur Face"...a grassroots lesson into turning your relationships into life long journeys.

Reverend Jellismate, you have made this meaningless life an adventure in the making.

Put In The Taintstick CD, Just Press Play, Cause Music Rocks

"Go back home AC/DC, move on over Metallica, Taintstick is here and they want to show you their balls. Created by a bunch of musicians at heart who have suffered the misfortune of spending their lives creating awesome radio shows, Taintstick is an ode to the rock n' roll of ole', with an insane twist.

Highlights Include:

Motod**k

Monkeys of War

Apple Juice

Load

Sir Eagle C**k Iii

The music harkens back to the days of AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, or even Metallica, if Metallica was performing stand-up comedy set to heavy metal. It's in your face, it kicks hard, and it never lets up. Most surprising however is the non-rock tracks, which include the stunning ballad "Load," and the troubadour epic "Sir Eagle C**k Iii."

But the strongest element of '6 Lbs' is its insane and horribly catchy lyrics. Here's just a sampling:

"F**k the dinosaurs, all they did was die."

"Riding around in my A6K, all you PT Cruisers get out of my way."

"There are things that I don't care about, that make you cry, that make you wanna shout, but all I'm thinking is when can I pull it out. Why can't I shoot a load on your face?"

The album is chock full of these gems, and all of them are as catchy as the Swine Flu. And while they may seem purely humorous on the surface, they also have a deeper meaning. Is "Monkeys of War" about actual monkeys, or a revolt against the government and the system? It could go either way.

Overall, '6 Lbs of Sound' is a soul crushing, ball crunching epic of mass awesomeness, and probably the best album I've heard all year. Take that U2! Take that Bob Dylan! Take that Black Eyed Peas! Did they create a classic song like "F*k Your Face?" Nope, I didn't think so.

Red Dragons!"
