Sir Neville Marriner recorded the complete Mozart symphonies twice, for Philips and later EMI, and there's very little difference between the two sets. Both of them offer fine playing, reliable interpretations, and good sound. In fact, Marriner's Mozart has been taken for granted for so long that it's hard to remember a time when they weren't the most recommendable set of chamber orchestra performances. And you know what?
