"Dear Sylvie, It was way back in 1965. My friend Andree and I were fourteen years old and enjoying an summer afternoon of teenage girl talk in her parents recreation room. Suddenly Andree jumped up to play her brother's French rock and roll records so that we could practice dancing. That moment became one of the greatest discoveries of my life. You! Your songs were the first French teen-age music I had ever heard. There was something so special about your voice, a voice that sang my ideal of the French language. That fabulous voice reached out and pulled me into a whole new world of music and to the study of the French language for many years to come. Congratulations on forty years of a remarkable and enduring career. You have given so much to so many of us, more than you will ever know. Your smile tells the world that you are warm and kind, that you have a great wit and sense of humour. Your life tells us about a young Bulgarian girl with a phenomenal sense of performance. A girl who showed the world that great talent, integrity, intelligence and emotional strength can take one to the top of the mountain but only the hardest work that keeps one there. By the way, Andree and I are still friends. We found each other last year after thirty years apart. We celebrate our fiftieth birthdays this month, September 27th and 28th, 2001. "Sylvie est mon idole de toujours ,je l'aime de tout mon coeur et cet album est un bijou comme tous ses albums d'ailleur.Il n'y-a rien à redire et tout est absolument super genial.Quant au dernier album:"SENSIBLE",c'est aussi un bijou suplementaire dans sa vie son oeuvre.Toute mes condoleances et ma peine pour l'incendie qui s'est passe dans la maison de "JACKIE COLLINS".Je vous embrasse et j'espere que vous continuerai le plus longtemps possible."
