"It's clear that when the Sweethearts of the Rodeo were at their peak, they very soon became overshadowed by the Judds. Then to combat that, the pretty boys of country hit the charts.



I love this CD in particular, especially the cover of the Everlys' "So Sad", which then-husband of Janice, Vince Gill joined and picked his guitar. The duo did several videos and were quite visible when music videos ruled Country Music Television.





Also, the beautiful "If I Never See Midnight Again" is so pleasant. That's how the Sweethearts were, pleasant. Kristin has the voice, and Janice is a great guitar picker.



There is also a good cover of Beatles, "I Feel Fine" and Los Lobos" "One Night."



A softer mellow "Blue to the Bone" is also a favorite. But one of the nicer melodies and sad ones is, I believe written by Janice, "Goodbye I'm Leaving."



There are more here. "You Never Talk Sweet." And this entire CD is wonderful. As I said, in my opinion, the Sweethearts of the Rodeo deserved the recognition that the Judds had.
