"i saw sweep the leg johnny in jacksonville, fl along with chisel.drill.hamer and ghosts and vodka. i had only heard one song of theirs before then, and i really really liked that song. but man, seeing them live was just amazing. it was one of the best performances i've seen. so naturally i bought their first album at the show, and my friend bought the new one that was to be released the day after the show. i have no way of describing them because they don't sound like any band i've heard before. all i can tell you is that they rock out with a saxophone. the bass player plays a fretless bass. the guitarist is just plain badass. the drummer, well, somehow he is able to keep up with the guitarist and bassist, and then some. if you're a fan of morphine you might like sweep the leg johnny simply because you realize how cool a saxophone is. anyway, they are a great band no matter how you get to hear them. be sure to get their first album as well."
