Worth listening to again and again

"This album is a great representation of all that's right in Afro-Peruvian music: interesting rhythms unique to the genre combined with sensitive lyrics, delicate interpretation, and accompaniment that's not overpowering. I don't know if I'll ever get tired of listening to "Negra Presuntuosa", for example. Not only does this album demonstrate Susana Baca's incredible artistry, but its poetry transcends its Afro-Peruvian roots. I bought this album when I didn't understand all the Spanish and wasn't disappointed when I started understanding it later."
