"What a joy it is to have found my favorite old-school singing group. The Superbs' song "Baby, Baby, All The Time" was the sound we listened to growing up in Watts, California. I was surprised to learn that The Whispers re-recorded the Superbs' song "I Was Born When You Kissed Me." I had always thought that The Whispers were the originators, but now I know that the Superbs were so soulful and mellow that other groups and artists re-recorded their sounds. When one of the Superbs' songs was re-recorded it became a hit. The Superbs were truly the first Soulful-Love-Songs singing group that preceeded The Whispers. And for those who do not know it, The Whispers were co-founded by Gordy Harmon of The Superbs."
