"This is not a single, but a full-length album of psychedelized country/folk rock from Austin, TX. Leader Jon Sanchez led the shoegazer/psych-pop combo the Flying Saucers in the 90s, and his ear for melody and arrangement hasn't deserted him here. The addition of John Leon's pedal steel is a stroke of mild genius, giving the songs a texture and Sanchez an instrumental foil that's rarely heard in psych pop these days. It's not unlike the late Beachwood Sparks, only much better. The writing is strong, the performances are excellent and the whole record has a shimmer like a sunlight reflecting off a windshield. Good stuff."
