"Ska-punk is this Montreal quintet's forte, and it does it better than many of its American counterparts." - THE RECORD Based near Montreal, Subb has been playing its own brand of ska-punk since November 1992. Taking influences from early punk rock and classic ska bands, they have been a mainstay in the Canadian independent music scene. Their first full-length, The Highstep to Hell, came out in 1997 on Underworld Records and received acclaim from fans and critics alike. In March 2000, Subb released their long awaited follow-up, Until the Party Ends, on Montreal's Stomp Records. 2002 saw the launch of Daylight Saving, a slight departure from their previous material. Now, with the release of The Motions, Subb is set to raise the bar a lot higher, mixing their distinctive brand of melodic punk rock with reggae, ska, and even a little hardcore. Phenomenal production and insightful songwriting round out what will prove to be their finest album to date.
