The real strengths of the disc are in the Kompakt originals (Jurgen Paape, M.Mayer), and the higher profile acts provide the only real disappointments (Scanner, Autechre). The Freeform vs. M.Mayer collaboration is completely brilliant. An interesting hybrid of strange, quirky electronics and smooth, minimal tech-house."
