The Ghost.............
Immortal Technique | Harlem, NY USA | 08/29/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Styles P. is not your typical rapper. He don't make club hits, he barely gets any promotion, and he rarely gets airplay on mainstream radio, with the excpetion of "Good Times" & "Daddy Get That Cash", and the video he had on BET for "My Life", which are all great songs off of the "Gangster & A Gentleman" cd from 2002. Anyway my point is that some artist unfortunatly don't get noticed in the mainstream, and get slept on. Styles is definatly one of those artist. He can write and craft songs about almost any topic with ease, and he does this better than most rappers in the spotlight. Unfortunatly though most people will still keep over looking his material, and won't get to hear a true talent at work. Anyway this cd is a great starting point if your new to his music. It has a select number of great tracks from various other mixtapes, that were combined here to make an official mixtape, that you can find in your local Best Buy's, Coconuts, FYE, etc. And it features tracks aimed at 50-Cent, from their well known beef. Those tracks are "Shots Fired", "Ms. Jackson", and "Problem Child", with "Ms Jackson" being the catchiest, because it samples the beat & hook from Outkast's song of the same name. All three tracks feature Jadakiss, who is a member of the Lox with Styles P. & Sheek Louch, and all are members of D-Block. Enjoy!

Another pretty good one from Styles

"Styles is back with his 3rd album in only a 8 month period, (not to mention another that came out 2 months after this one which I haven't picked up yet) and this being the worst of the 3, but still worthy of 4 stars. With only 12 songs on here, it's a little short, plus 3 of the songs I have on other albums and 2 others I've heard on mixtapes over a year ago, so it's only 7 new songs to me. Of the 12 songs, 3 Are almost classics, 1 I skip, 2 are ok, the other 6 are good songs. Guests are on every song, and a few songs Style sonly has 1 verse and the guests have 2 or 3. Production is decent and mostly handled by the Batkave, with a few songs over older beats. For his fans I'd grab this one but he has better work, but this is still good.
