CD Reviews

Great 90's metal
Larry D | Middletown, CT | 05/20/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I bought this CD after doing a search on the web for members of Wrath. This CD, which features Gary Golwitzer on vocals (ex-Wrath), turned out to be a find in itself. While the production is a bit dry for my taste, the material is strong. Tight, memorable riffs lay the foundation for these 10 songs that run the gamut from all-out thrash to moments of delicate acoustic moods. The guitar playing is extraordinary for a little-known band - the solos rip! Particularly enjoyable was Mike Delmore's work on "Needful Things", showcasing a mellow, lyrical approach on the slow middle section, opening up into end-of-the-world pyrotechnics at the end. Other tunes that shine are the tongue-in-cheek "Cremation", "The Switch", and the Megadeth-like "Deadly Psychic Evil". If you like the raw power metal of Testament's "Practice What You Preach", I'd recommend this one!"
