This recording features five new works composed by Ontario composers for strings and other instruments. Features Canada's top artists including Mark Fewer, concertmaster of the Vancouver Symphony. This is the second album for NUMUS, one of Ontario's leading new music presenters. Riveting first track for string quartet and drum kit by young post-minimalist Generation Y composer Jascha Narveson, a Bang on a Can protegé. Composer Omar Daniel is one of Canada's most acclaimed composers, winner of the coveted Jules Léger Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts. Composer Roger Bergs is a graduate of the Juilliard School, where he studied composition with John Corigliano.
