CD Reviews

A NEW CHAPTER FROM A WAR STORY, STREET PLATOON
Tino Tek | London, England | 10/27/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Since I am a big fan of Psycho Realm anything in relation to them always gets my attention, and what do I think of Psycho Realms students Cynic and Crow the Street Platoon?

A great group with a fantastic album. Let's get this out of the way first, they are not as good as Psycho Realm, yet they manage to hold their own with the same lyrical content as the Gonsalez brothers, using a similar beat template they bring a nice raw feel to the album. All but one track (Pink, but more on this in a moment) are serious bangers showing once again why latinos are capable of holding their own in the hip hop game and it just makes me proud knowing that we at least have a handful of artists that can compete with the big dogs and no I don't mean crud like 50 Cent.

Pink, this one track here is utter Sh*t, why Street Platoon decided to include this among the other songs is beyond me, all it talks about is how to fu*k bit*hes on an equally weak beat and it just seems out of place with the rest of album.

Don't let that one song put you off, this is a fantastic album otherwise and deserves to be heard, check it out."
